Ever notice how your brain suddenly wants to solve every problem in your life the minute your head hits the pillow?
That conversation you keep replaying.
The assignment you forgot about.
The things you’re worried might happen tomorrow.
Sometimes our thoughts get so loud that we forget we don’t have to listen to every single one of them.
Here’s a suggestion:
Before bed, grab a notebook and get those thoughts out of your head and onto paper.
Brain Dumping is one of the most powerful ways to ease those intrusive thoughts.
Write down what’s bothering you, what needs your attention tomorrow, and what can simply wait.
That allows you to acknowledge that you are aware of the concern, have a plan to address it and helps you to relax and go to sleep knowing it will be handled tomorrow.
Give yourself permission to put the day down.
Tomorrow is a new day. Writing down what needs your attention eases the anxiety and helps you face it head-on in the morning.
