Here is another great lesson to teach your teens!
Oftentimes they worry about upcoming tests, social engagements, future plans etc. This causes anxiety and many teens become overwhelmed by it and shut down. This only increases the anxiety and does not serve them at all.
Teaching them the power of taking action on the very thing they are worrying about can be all the difference they need to lower that anxiety and feel good about what is upcoming for them.
When they take action, they are moving forward as opposed to being at a standstill which can derail them and does not serve them. The best way to lower your anxiety around an upcoming test is to just start studying and making a plan to be successful. When you have that social engagement that concerns you, plan out your approach and start to visualize how you want it to go.
Taking action on what makes you anxious very often will lower the anxiety, build confidence and lower fears in the future. Spending a day worrying about the unknown will be far more uncomfortable and painful than taking action and putting the work in to ensure a positive outcome.
