This quote should become part of their daily mantra!
Greatness does not just manifest itself, it’s something they
achieve themselves through hard work, determination, and an
unwavering belief in themselves.
Many times, teens will hesitate because they are looking for
permission or validation for their actions and desires. Teaching
them to listen to their gut and follow it without the need for
permission or validation is difficult to do at times.
When they see the value of trusting themselves, they can always
apologize for a bad choice or outcome, but they can never
experience the outcome if they don’t create it. What if the
outcome would have been exactly what they wanted?
Have them embrace their unique talents and ideas. Teach them to
trust themselves, their instincts, and their personal vision. Remind
them of the importance of seeking knowledge, taking risks, and not to be afraid to forge their own path.
Some of the most successful people were those who dared to
defy the norm and who refused to ask for permission to be great.
So tell them to go out there, be unapologetically them, and show
the world what they are made of.
