Self-compassion is one of the most underrated skills you can build.
A lot of teens think being hard on themselves will make them better.
It usually does the opposite.
You are going to mess up. You’re going to have bad days. You’re going to make mistakes and get things wrong sometimes. That’s part of being human.
The goal isn’t to be perfect.
The goal is to learn, grow, and keep moving forward without turning yourself into your own worst enemy.
Talk to yourself like someone you’re responsible for helping, not someone you’re trying to tear down.
A little more patience.
A little more understanding.
A little more grace.
You deserve that too.
