Overthinking is literally just your brain trying to “protect” you…
But it ends up stressing you out for no reason.
You replay it.
You imagine the worst.
You spiral over things that haven’t even happened, and then, none of it actually plays out like that.
Sit with the thought and work through it!
Pause -Don’t react right away. Just notice the thought.
Name It – “What am I actually thinking right now?”
Say it clearly in your head.
Check It – Is this thought helping me… or making things worse?
Flip It (if needed) – Turn it into something more grounded, not fake positive.
Example:
“I can’t do this.” to “This is hard, but I can figure it out.”
Choose Your Next Move – What’s one small action you can take right now?
Realize all we have control over is how we respond to these thoughts and the circumstances they bring to light.
