Most of us spend so much time preparing for the worst that we forget to leave room for the best.
What if you get the job?
What if you make the team?
What if they say yes?
What if you finally see what you’re capable of?
What if this chapter of your life becomes one you’ll look back on with gratitude instead of fear?
Your brain is really good at imagining everything that could go wrong. That’s what it’s designed to do.
But you have a choice.
You can also imagine what could go right.
Optimism isn’t pretending life is perfect. It’s believing that good things are possible, and giving yourself permission to hope.
Don’t let fear write a story that hasn’t happened yet.
Give yourself permission to imagine the best-case scenario. It might be closer than you think.
