“What if it goes wrong?”
“What if I mess up?”
“What if people judge me?”
Our brains are good at creating stories about things that haven’t even happened yet.
We convince ourselves that if we worry enough, think through every possibility, or prepare for every worst-case scenario, somehow, we’ll be ready.
But worrying doesn’t change what happens next. It just takes us away from what’s happening right now.
When you catch yourself getting stuck in the “what ifs,” bring yourself back to what you know, what you can actually control, and what’s in front of you today.
You can deal with tomorrow when tomorrow gets here.
Don’t let something that hasn’t happened yet steal today from you.
