Halloween is all about tricks and treats, but what about the way you’re treating yourself?
Between school, friends, activities, and everything else going on, it’s easy to forget that your mental health needs attention too.
Sometimes taking care of yourself comes down to a few simple choices.
Rest: You don’t have to be productive every minute of the day. Your mind and body need time to recharge.
Self-Talk: Pay attention to the messages you’re sending yourself. Would you speak to a friend the way you sometimes speak to yourself?
Healthy Distractions: Take a break from what’s stressing you out. Listen to music, go for a walk, spend time with friends, or do something you enjoy.
Here’s a little challenge:
Pick one of these three treats and make it part of your day this week.
Small choices may not seem like much, but over time they can make a big difference in how you think, feel, and handle life’s challenges.
Remember, taking care of your mental health isn’t something you do only when you’re struggling.
It’s something you practice every day.
