A new school year means a lot of change all at once.
New schedules, new teachers, new expectations, new routines.
Don’t expect yourself to have it all figured out on day one.
Give yourself time to adjust.
Use the Executive Function skills you already have: plan ahead, break things down, ask for help, manage your time, and adjust when something isn’t working.
(If you struggle with those skills, I can help.)
Have the confidence to try even when you’re unsure.
The courage to speak up when you need support.
Remember to balance your time, school is important, but so are your friends, your hobbies, your sleep, your downtime, and your mental health.
You’re not supposed to be perfect at the start.
Pay attention to what’s working, shift what isn’t, and keep moving forward.
That’s growth.
