You don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
Sometimes being strong means knowing when to ask for help.
When you’re overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, confused, or just having a hard time, reach out for support.
Talk to a parent
A teacher
A counselor
A coach
A therapist
An adult you trust
You don’t need to have the perfect words. You can start with:
“I’m having a hard time, and I could use someone to talk to.”
That’s enough.
We talk a lot about being independent and learning to handle things ourselves. Part of growing up though, is also learning when you need support and who you can trust to give it.
Asking for help isn’t weakness.
It’s self-awareness
It’s self-advocacy
Most importantly, it takes courage.
Develop the courage to ask and the courage to be you!
