This is an easy one for your teens to remember!
Oftentimes they get stuck and cycle around with worry and anxiety around something. This causes frustration and fear, so they, may opt to avoid so these feelings don’t stay with them.
Eventually, the same fears and anxiety resurface and the cycle begins again. This is most likely due to a fear of failure. When they fear failure, they don’t act and nothing changes.
Action always leads to change. That change may yield positive results or it may lead to failure but without failure there is no growth or lesson to learn from.
The earlier we teach them the power of action and the benefits of failure, the faster they will grow and develop into resilient and confident adults.
